Mystro Clark was the American host of the syndicated series Soul Train from 1997 until 1999. Clark was picked by Don Cornelius himself to take over. From there, Mystro went on to become a film and television actor, and a writer for the show Cousin Skeeter. He starred in TV series such as The Newz (sketch comedy), The Show, Pulled Over, That’s Life, Lovespring International and the Shield. He also made several guest appearances in television shows, and has starred in the movies Chairman of the Board, Storm Catcher, Out at the Wedding, A Few Good Men, and the 2009 film Shrink.
Mystro has 3 standing ovation appearances on HBO DEF COMEDY JAM, and 3 BET COMIC VIEW appearances including his own One Hour Special. He is also on the Def Jam All Stars DVD, as well as numerous other comedy outlets.

Mystro was born in Dayton Ohio. He attended college at the University of Dayton where he started DJ-ing parties with friends, and doing stand up comedy. After winning a national college comedy search he was hooked on being a professional comedian. After graduating from college, and doing a tour as an Army chemical weapons officer, and a hospital Medical Technologist, Mystro moved to Los Angeles and within three years landed a TV series.
Mystro also formed a music label, where he produced and released four music projects including the album “Holy Water".
